Why Many People Do Not Want to Buy a Treatment Package

Why Many People Do Not Want to Buy a Treatment Package. DIVA Poipet explains Clients have bought treatment and Clients do not yet know whether.

In Poipet’s beauty market, a very common response is: “I want to try one session first,” or “I don’t want to buy a package.” Many providers see this as a sign that the client cannot afford it, does not trust them enough, or is not serious. In reality, reluctance to buy a long treatment plan often reflects deeper problems in the way services are sold in the market.

Clients are not necessarily opposed to multi-session treatment. What they usually resist is committing money, time, and trust too early before knowing whether the approach is right for them.

  • Clients have bought treatment packages but did not use them up
Watch: real treatment media from DIVA. Individual results vary.

Many people have previously bought packages of 5, 10, or 20 sessions from another provider. The consultation may have sounded very appealing at first, but after a few sessions they encounter one of several situations: they see no clear change, their work schedule is not compatible, staff members change, the quality of each session is inconsistent, or the provider continuously suggests additional services.

When someone has already spent money on a treatment plan they did not complete, they become more cautious the next time. They do not want to repeat the feeling of having money tied up at a place they may not continue visiting.

  • Clients do not yet know whether the practitioner is the right fit

A skin service does not depend only on the name of the device or product. The experience also depends on the person who assesses the skin, explains the plan, performs the procedure, works carefully, and provides follow-up after treatment.

These factors are difficult to judge from advertising alone. Clients want to try one session to find out whether the practitioner understands their condition, works seriously, and will provide support if their skin reacts.

For that reason, “trying one session” is often how clients check the actual quality before making a larger decision.

  • Life and work schedules in Poipet are not stable

Many clients work shifts, have schedules that change constantly, or may move to another job within a short time. Some do not know how long they will remain in Poipet. Others frequently travel between Poipet, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Thailand, or Indonesia.

In that context, a long treatment plan lasting three to six months creates a practical burden. Clients are not sure they can attend on schedule. They also worry about losing sessions if they have to move or change jobs.

Not wanting to buy a package is sometimes unrelated to trust in the clinic. Their life may simply not be stable enough to make that commitment.

  • Clients are afraid of being pressured to buy more after starting a package

Some clients have experienced a sales process like this: they buy a basic package, and then at every visit they are encouraged to upgrade the device, add products, add injections, or buy a home-care set.

When the total cost becomes much higher than the original quotation, clients feel that they no longer control the decision.

As a result, many people choose to pay session by session so they retain the right to stop at any time. This is how they protect their budget and avoid feeling locked in.

  • Clients do not understand why multiple sessions are needed

If a consultant only says, “You need to buy five sessions for results,” without explaining the goal of each stage, clients will assume that the treatment plan is simply a way to sell more.

With acne, time may be needed to reduce inflammation, control congestion, and maintain progress. With scars, each session provides only part of the stimulation needed for regeneration. With hair removal, hairs are not in the same growth cycle. With pigmentation, the skin needs to be monitored between treatments.

When clients understand the clinical reason and can see a clear process, they are more likely to accept a multi-session plan. When they do not understand, they see only a large expense.

  • A fixed treatment package does not suit every skin condition

A pre-designed package may consist of the same service repeated many times. However, the skin condition can change after each session.

Inflamed skin may need to be brought under control first. Only then can treatment move on to dark marks, pores, or scars. Some sessions may require a stronger treatment, while others may need only recovery care.

If clients must pay in advance for a fixed package, they may worry that the clinic will keep performing the service that was sold even after their skin has changed.

  • A lower package price does not necessarily build trust

Promotions such as “buy 5, get 2 free” or steep discounts can create a sense of savings. But for new clients, an excessive discount can also raise questions: What is the real price of the service? Will the quality of every session be the same? Why must the full amount be paid upfront?

For a service that directly affects the skin and body, clarity is often more important than the size of the discount.

DIVA’s Perspective

DIVA does not see a client’s wish to have one session as a negative sign. A suitable first session can help both sides assess the real situation: how the skin responds, how well the client can follow home care, and whether the treatment direction needs adjustment.

Clients should know the price before treatment, the goal of the first session, and what they can reasonably expect. After they have real experience, if further treatment is needed, DIVA can then suggest a short and flexible plan.

A treatment plan is meaningful only when clients understand what they are paying for. A package should not be used to hold onto clients. Results, consistency, and follow-up should be what make clients want to return.

Conclusion

Many people do not want to buy a treatment package not because they do not care about results. Most simply do not want to commit before they have enough experience, information, and trust.

A clinic can reduce this pressure by allowing clients to start with an appropriate session, providing clear pricing, not requiring a long package, and explaining the goal of every step.

When clients feel that they still control the decision, they are generally more likely to continue treatment than when they are asked to buy a package from the beginning.
