When Should You Seek Medical Care or Emergency Care Instead of Only Messaging the Clinic? DIVA Poipet explains Suggested URL and Difficulty Breathing, Airway.

DIVA Skin Clinic Poipet

Introduction

Messages can help with initial triage, but they cannot measure blood pressure or SpO2, perform a neurological examination, assess the airway, or check vision. In some situations, waiting for the clinic to reply can lose important time. DIVA needs to make the boundary clear: mild reactions can be guided and monitored, while signs threatening the airway, circulation, vision, nervous system, or indicating severe infection must be managed at a medical facility.

Difficulty Breathing, Airway Swelling, or Fainting

Watch: real treatment media from DIVA. Individual results vary.

Difficulty breathing, wheezing, a choking sensation, swelling of the lips or tongue, hoarseness, hives across the body, dizziness, or fainting may be severe allergic reactions. Clients need to call emergency services or go to the emergency department immediately. Do not drive yourself when dizzy and do not wait for oral medication at home to take effect. After calling for medical assistance, clients may inform DIVA so that information about the service and products used can be provided.

Visual Disturbance After Filler Injection

Blurred vision, vision loss, double vision, eye pain, or severe headache occurring during or after filler is an emergency. Clients must clearly tell medical staff that filler was recently injected. Do not massage, apply compresses, or wait to see whether it improves the following morning. Eye-related vascular complications can progress quickly and have permanent consequences.

Signs of Stroke or Neurological Injury

Sudden facial drooping, weakness or numbness on one side of the body, difficulty speaking, confusion, loss of balance, seizures, or an unusual severe headache require calling emergency services. These symptoms must not be explained simply as Botox, HIFU, or a psychological reaction. Even when an aesthetic service was recently performed, the cause may be unrelated and still needs management according to neurological emergency principles.

Chest Pain, Abnormal Heartbeat, and Systemic Reactions

Chest pain, difficulty breathing, a very rapid or irregular heartbeat, cold sweating, reduced alertness, or low blood pressure are signs needing immediate medical assessment. After intravenous infusion, systemic reactions should especially not be managed only through messages. DIVA has a responsibility to provide information about ingredients used, timing, and progression, but does not replace the emergency department.

Severe Infection or Progressive Skin Injury

High fever, chills, rapidly spreading hot redness, increasing pain, significant pus, odour, red streaks running along a limb, or extreme fatigue require medical evaluation. After laser or a peel, widespread blistering, deep erosion, or injury around the eyes also needs direct assessment. When a wound is worsening quickly, trying more cream or waiting for an appointment can increase the risk of scarring and complications.

Information to Bring

Bring or photograph the product name, procedure time, treatment area, current medications, underlying conditions, and allergies. If you have the product packaging or service record, provide it to medical staff. Ask someone to accompany you when symptoms are severe. After safety has been established, DIVA can coordinate information and follow-up, but emergency decisions must take priority first.

Seeking Medical Care Does Not Mean DIVA Is Refusing Responsibility

Referring a client to a hospital is the correct action when the condition exceeds what can be assessed through messages or needs medical equipment. DIVA still has a responsibility to provide information, coordinate, and follow up. Keeping a client at an aesthetic clinic when emergency care is needed is the dangerous choice.

Prepare a Plan Before Providing Services

DIVA Skin Clinic Poipet

Before services with a risk of severe reactions, the facility needs to know the nearest hospital, emergency number, information to provide, and how to arrange transport. Clients should also know whom to contact. A plan prepared in advance helps reduce panic and avoid lost time when an incident occurs.

Limits of Online Guidance

This content is intended to help clients recognise and communicate more effectively after treatment; it does not replace direct medical diagnosis or management. DIVA does not encourage clients to self-medicate, self-puncture or extract, self-neutralise, or undergo further procedures before the cause is identified. Final guidance must be based on the service performed, products used, location, timing, and each person’s health condition.

Conclusion

Seek emergency care immediately when there is difficulty breathing, airway swelling, fainting, chest pain, visual disturbance, stroke signs, widespread muscle weakness, or a severe systemic reaction. High fever, increasing pain, and spreading infection also need medical assessment. Messages cannot replace direct assessment in these situations. DIVA wants clients to make contact, but does not want them to delay emergency care while waiting for a reply.
