Before a Peel

Correct preparation before a peel helps reduce factors that can make skin react strongly or require the plan to be postponed on the treatment day. This guidance is for clients whose appointment has been confirmed by DIVA; it does not replace an in-person assessment.

• Provide complete history

Tell DIVA about recent procedures, medication in use, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a history of hyperpigmentation, allergies, and unusual reactions in the past.

• Do not self-increase active ingredients

Do not self-add acids, retinoids, at-home peels, or strong brightening products in the days close to the appointment. The specific stopping time depends on the method and skin condition.

• Protect skin from sun and injury

Avoid sunburn, self-extraction of acne, shaving abrasions, or performing another procedure on the area that will be treated.

• Arrive with clean skin and clear information

Do not hide products in use or recent reactions. Postponing a session when skin is not suitable is safer than forcing treatment.

• When to report before the appointment

Skin that is burning and red, has wounds, infection, rapidly spreading inflammatory acne, fever, or recent use of a new medication needs to be reported in advance.

DIVA’s Perspective

DIVA performs treatment only when the condition on that day remains suitable. A booked appointment does not mean treatment must proceed if skin has changed.
