Our Story
The DIVA story
DIVA Skin Clinic Poipet is an appointment-based skin and aesthetic clinic in Poipet, Cambodia. It was established in April 2023 by Nguyen Hai Dang, who had by then been working in the beauty and aesthetics industry since 2018. The clinic was not built around a single machine or a single trend.
It was built around a way of working: look at the real skin first, choose a suitable direction, and stay responsible for what happens afterward.
Poipet shaped the clinic as much as any philosophy did. It is a border town with a warm, humid climate, a great deal of night-shift work, and a population that includes long-term Cambodian residents alongside Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian and Chinese-speaking visitors. That mix
creates real, practical needs: treatment that can work within a short visit window, guidance a client can understand in their own language, and honesty about what is realistic when someone may not be in town for every follow-up. DIVA's late operating hours — open from 8:00 AM to
12:00 AM (midnight) — reflect a town where a lot of life, and a lot of work, happens at night.
The clinic runs by appointment only. That is a deliberate choice rather than a limitation. An appointment model keeps the treatment flow controlled and unhurried, allows time for a proper assessment before anything is done, and means each client is seen with direct attention rather than
processed in a queue. It also fits the reality of a border town, where clients often coordinate a visit around a work shift or a border crossing and need a confirmed time rather than a wait.
The short version of what DIVA is trying to be: a place where technology is treated as a tool rather than a headline, where the assessment matters more than the machine, and where the relationship does
not end when the client leaves the treatment room. The rest of this page explains who is behind that, how it works in practice, and what it means for you. For the founding approach in more detail, see

The Founder
Nguyen Hai Dang — Founder & Treatment Practitioner
DIVA was founded by Nguyen Hai Dang, born in 1998, who has worked in the beauty and aesthetics industry since 2018. Over that time he founded and developed several beauty businesses and built practical experience across aesthetic skin treatment, permanent makeup, professional training and
beauty-industry marketing. In April 2023 he brought that experience together to establish DIVA Skin
Clinic Poipet. His role is
Founder & Treatment Practitioner
— he is directly involved in developing the clinic's treatment philosophy, its treatment systems, its educational content, its assessment direction and its client follow-up.
It is worth being precise about the title, because precision here is a matter of honesty. Nguyen Hai
Dang is a founder, practitioner, treatment-system developer and content author. He is not described as a medical doctor, dermatologist or other regulated medical specialist, and DIVA does not claim otherwise. Any qualification, license, certification or award is only ever presented when it can be
verified and supported by records. Services that are regulated by local law are delivered within the applicable legal scope and with appropriate qualified oversight where that is required. This is the
same standard stated on his official profile, and it is deliberate.
What defines his approach is a preference for reasoning over spectacle. Rather than presenting aesthetic services as isolated procedures, he organises treatment around the client's real condition, treatment priority, recovery capacity, expected progress and the support needed between
sessions. His stated view of technology, active ingredients and products is that they are tools inside a broader treatment system — their value depends on how accurately they are selected, sequenced, combined, monitored and adjusted, not on how strong or expensive they are. The objective,
in his words, is not to use the greatest number of technologies or the strongest ingredients, but to identify which tools are useful, when they are useful, and how they support the same goal without unnecessary burden on the skin.
He is also the named author responsible for DIVA's educational content, including the treatment guides, aftercare materials and post-treatment reaction explanations across this Knowledge Center.
The full professional profile — journey, treatment philosophy, the DIVA Treatment System and the client-knowledge layer — is published on his dedicated page:

How DIVA Is Run
The practitioner-led model & the team
DIVA is a practitioner-led clinic. In practice that means treatment is not handed off through a chain of unrelated steps where nobody owns the outcome. Assessment, treatment direction, the choice of technology and ingredients, the explanation given to the client, and the follow-up afterward are
treated as one connected responsibility rather than separate departments. The person directing your treatment is the person accountable for the reasoning behind it.
This is why the founder's role is described as founder and treatment practitioner, and why so much of the clinic's published material is written under his name: the treatment philosophy and the treatment delivery are meant to be the same thing, not a marketing layer bolted onto a service
list. A plan is proposed only after the visible condition, current priorities, recovery capacity and treatment history have been reviewed, and it is adjusted when the client's response changes rather than followed blindly to the end of a pre-sold package.
We are careful not to invent a roster of staff, titles or credentials on a public page. What we can state plainly is the model: appointment-based, directly supervised, with a controlled treatment flow
so that quality is not traded for volume. Where a service is regulated and requires qualified oversight, that requirement is respected. The team information and practitioner details that we can verify are kept on the dedicated pages, so that what appears in public is accurate and supportable.

Technology & Equipment
The technology & equipment approach
“Technology is only a tool.” That single line is the clearest statement of how DIVA thinks about equipment. The clinic works with a range of established aesthetic technologies and methods — devices such as Pico laser, CO2 fractional laser, RF microneedling and RF-based
lifting, HIFU, chemical peels, and regenerative and injectable approaches like PRP, mesotherapy and skin boosters. But owning capable equipment is treated as a starting point, not a selling point.
The reasoning is straightforward and consistent with how the founder describes his work. Different technologies act at different depths of the skin. Topical actives work in the upper layer; laser,
RF, microneedling and PRP work in the deeper layer where collagen, blood vessels and pigment sit; other methods act deeper still. A device is only the right choice when it matches the actual problem, the current condition of the skin and the recovery the client can support. A high-cost or
advanced technology used at the wrong time, at an unsuitable intensity, or without proper recovery support can produce a worse result than a simpler, well-timed method.
This is why DIVA does not treat by letting clients pick machines from a menu. Before choosing CO2,
Pico, RF, peel, meso, skin booster or any other method, the skin foundation, barrier condition, main concern and expected result are assessed. If a client already knows the treatment they want, they can ask for it directly — the skin is simply checked first to confirm it is suitable, and if a
different method would be safer or more effective, that is explained and offered. Equipment, in other words, is selected to serve the treatment plan; the treatment plan is never bent to justify using a particular piece of equipment.

Our Commitment
Commitment & responsibility: assessment and aftercare, not upselling
DIVA treats consultation and aftercare as responsibilities, not as sales opportunities. A consultation exists to understand the concern, the goal, the history and what is realistic — and, when appropriate, to say that a treatment is not needed or not yet suitable. Aftercare exists
because a result is not finished when the client leaves the room; recovery, sun protection, barrier support and follow-up genuinely influence the outcome. Neither of these is an add-on to be charged for; both are part of doing the work properly.
This has practical consequences the client can actually feel. Session counts are presented as estimates that depend on individual response, not as fixed quotas sold upfront. Expectations are set honestly, including the uncomfortable parts — that scars, pigmentation and chronic acne
improve progressively, that some reactions look worse before they look better, and that certain results have limits. Homecare products, when recommended, are chosen for the treatment stage and the individual's needs, not pushed as a standard bundle everyone must buy. The aim is for a client to
leave understanding what was done, why, and what to do next — not carrying a bag of products they did not need.
A large part of DIVA's published knowledge is dedicated to exactly this: what a normal reaction looks like after a procedure, how long recovery phases tend to last, what to avoid during healing, which warning signs deserve attention, and when to contact the clinic or seek medical care. Making
that information freely available is itself part of the commitment. A client who understands their recovery is less likely to panic at a normal reaction, less likely to abandon treatment midway, and better protected if something genuinely needs attention.
This responsibility is backed by a stated support, warranty and refund policy, so that committing to treatment does not feel like a trap. Read

What DIVA Stands For
Six principles that run through everything
The story, the founder's approach, the technology view and the commitment all reduce to a small set of principles. They are not a slogan — they are the actual rules the clinic tries to be judged against, and they explain why a visit here feels different from choosing a service off a list.
Real skin assessment first
The skin condition, barrier, main concern and treatment history are checked before any direction is chosen. The assessment is the treatment's foundation, not a formality.
No menu-style treatment
Clients do not have to pick a machine to be helped. Methods are chosen to fit the skin's needs; a requested treatment is confirmed suitable before it proceeds.
Clear aftercare
Recovery guidance and homecare reduce risk and support a better result. Aftercare is treated as part of the treatment, not an extra to be charged for.
Focused quality
By appointment only, with a controlled flow and direct supervision, so attention is not traded for volume.
Local & international care
Cambodian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian and Chinese-speaking clients are served, with guidance available in several languages.
Realistic expectations
We explain what can improve, what will take time and what depends on aftercare — including the limits of what any treatment can do.
Inside the Clinic
Clinic activity & how a visit works
Day to day, DIVA runs as an appointment-based clinic with a controlled, unhurried flow. A typical path from concern to result follows four simple stages, and it is the same whether a client arrives certain of what they want or with only a concern to describe.
Step 1
Consultation
Understand the concern, the goal, the treatment history and what is realistic within your visit and budget.
Step 2
Skin assessment
Check the actual skin condition, barrier and priority problem before any method is selected.
Step 3
Treatment direction
Choose suitable methods, explain the plan, the expected reactions, the downtime and the limitations.
Step 4
Aftercare & follow-up
Guide recovery, sun protection and homecare, and review progress at the next visit.
Because most first contact now arrives by message, a lot of this begins before anyone travels. A clear photo and a short description of the concern let DIVA give useful preliminary direction ahead of a visit — particularly valuable when a client is crossing the border and wants to know
whether the trip is worthwhile and roughly what to expect. Final treatment direction is always confirmed after an in-person assessment, but the conversation does not have to start from zero on arrival.
The clinic is in Poipet, Cambodia and is open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight), by appointment. Sending your concern, skin photo or service request through WhatsApp or Telegram before visiting is the smoothest
way to be seen at a confirmed time. For observations on how people in Poipet book, ask about price and choose services, see

International Clients
How international clients are served
DIVA serves both local Poipet clients and visitors crossing from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia,
Malaysia and Chinese-speaking regions. Each group tends to arrive with different questions, and the single most valuable thing a clinic can offer someone making an important decision is the ability to
understand and be understood. For that reason DIVA coordinates multilingual communication and has published guides written specifically for each main group, so that services, the visit and aftercare can be understood in a client's own language rather than negotiated in a second one.

Practically, international clients often work within a short visit window, so DIVA tries to give realistic preliminary direction by message before travel — what can reasonably be done in the time available, and what may need follow-up. Appointment scheduling is arranged around a client's
crossing or work timing where possible, and the same honesty about session counts and progress applies regardless of language: a plan is an estimate reviewed against your response, never a fixed block sold in advance.
When you message, simply tell us your concern and your preferred language, and add a clear photo if you can. For clients who prefer to read the support, warranty and refund policy in Vietnamese, that is available at
